FAQ
Who is Angart & Co?
Angart & Co. is an investment advisory firm registered with the SEC, providing asset management to individuals and businesses. We uphold the industry’s highest standard of care and help investors reach their long-term goals through active money management.
What services do Angart & Co. provide?
- Ongoing Investment Asset Management services to help our clients achieve their long-term investment goals.
- Sound Financial Advisory Services in the areas of investment, retirement, income tax and estate planning.
What makes Angart & Co. different from other money managers?
Other money managers may offer cookie-cutter portfolios or strategies based on a single style of investing. That means you are getting the same advice as everyone else, regardless of your situation. While other managers may consider just your age or risk tolerance, Robert Angart learns about your goals, financial needs, health, age, family and more. Then he will build a portfolio tailored to your situation.
What is the Angart & Co. fee structure?
Unlike other money managers, we do not earn commissions on trades. Instead, we use a tiered fee structure that is based on your portfolio’s size. This means that our main objective is our clients’ best interests, and when clients do better, we do better.
Who makes the investment decisions for the clients’ portfolio?
With over 25 years of investing experience, Robert Angart makes all strategic investment decisions for our clients’ portfolios. ANGART’s Investment Management’s philosophy is to devise an appropriate long-term strategy that will assist in achieving financial goals with the least amount of unnecessary risk. The asset allocation decision is one of the most crucial factors in determining both the return and risk of an investment portfolio. Asset allocation is the process of developing a diversified investment portfolio by combining assets in varying proportions.
Why should I choose a fee-only advisor?
As a fee-only investment manager, Angart & Co. is beholden to no one other than our clients. Totally independent from outside sources, our only compensation comes from our clients. “Fee-only” means that we receive no other compensation other than the fee you pay; we do not sell products. This arrangement ensures that our recommendations are made with your best interests at heart!
What is a registered investment advisor?
A Registered Investment Advisor is a firm that is registered with the state in which it does business, or with the Securities Exchange Commission, to provide investment advice. A Registered Investment Advisor is held to a Fiduciary Standard, meaning they are expected to always act in the best interest of their client. As fiduciaries, an advisor must employ a policy of full disclosure with their clients to help avoid potential conflicts of interest. As a fee-only investment advisor, Angart & Co, removes potential conflict by accepting compensation only in the form of client fees.
What is the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential?
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a designation provided to licensed accounting professionals. The CPA license is provided by the Board of Accountancy for each state. A CPA, or Certified Public Accountant, provides a wide variety of financial services to individuals, businesses, organizations, and government agencies. CPAs are not only knowledgeable about tax strategy and investing, but also auditing records and processes, analyzing data, and conducting fraud investigations. To become a CPA, you must pass a rigorous exam, known as the Uniform CPA Exam, hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or accounting, and complete 150 hours of education.
What is the Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP) credential?
The Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP) credential, awarded by the Turnaround Management Association (TMA), is the premier, globally recognized certification for professionals specializing in corporate renewal, restructuring, and crisis management. It signifies expertise in managing distressed companies, requiring rigorous experience, a written exam, and adherence to a strict code of ethics.
Why use our firm in lieu of a larger, institutional advisory firm?
Angart & Co. provides an advisory relationship that exudes the “personal” touch. We are a boutique firm that keeps in close touch with our clients. Our financial advisors get to know our clients as individuals and not just “accounts.” This personal interest creates a level of service which we believe cannot be matched by the larger financial companies and banks.
How much does it cost to come in and see a financial advisor?
There are no cost and no obligation associated with your first visit. Click here to contact us and set up an appointment.
